Cool, you're only the second person that has mentioned them, other than myself, that I have seen.

It was the first Opeth album I bought, although it was the last album I really began to like. Up until the last month or so I basically never listened to it
I really enjoy it now though, you can really hear the energy in every track. Good stuff

Speaking about Opeth:
|
"Music is much like f**king, but some composers can't climax and others climax too often, leaving themselves and the listener jaded and spent."

Have not played this one for a while. This is when Kante Manfila (Main Guitarist) was with him. First up Mandjou (Original version) also there is an earlier version of Primpin The band was Les Ambassadeurs.
Mandjou is 12 minutes in length and is a praise song to President Hamed Sekou Toure of Guinea and so he should be praised because it was his goverment who instructed the musicians to stop playing other peoples crap and to play Guinean music. He financed the early bands and supported them all the way. Without him there would have been no Golden Age of Guinean music No Bembeya Jazz ,to horrible to contemplate Salif though comes from Mali

Thanks for the historical informations, Matt !
