I barely know any 90's RPI, what do you suggest besides Finisterre?

I can't think of a whole ton off the top of my head, but three that I used to play a heap are:

MONTEFELTRO - Il Tempo di Far la Fantasia (1992)

SENSITIVA IMMAGINE - E tutto cominciò così... (1991) (edit - Actually, I accidently cheated, this one was released then but recorded in the Seventies)

QUASAR LUX SYMPHONIAE Abraham - One Act Rock Opera (1994) - THis was the very first Italian prog album I ever owned ....many years before I even understood Italian Prog was a thing! It also happens to be one of the only Italian discs sung in English that still sounds terrific.

I heard the Montefeltro one today, it sounds a bit samey at first listen.

I already knew that one, it's quite good, and clearly from the 70's.

That one sounds more interesting but I couldn't find the whole album.

Sam, I'm pretty sure, as much as I like that Monfefeltro one, I rarely seem to get all the way through it, so you might be on to something!

I'm considering reviewing all of those Italian discs...I had planned this year to jump back and forth between one modern, one older disc, and repeat. So the question is....do we now consider 90's discs as oldies?!

Good, I thought I was missing something there Tongue

Was 70's Prog considered oldie in the 90's? Do I consider myself oldie? LOL

Blasted Maiden kick all week...can't stop.

Iron Maiden-- S/T ( always been tough to pick a favourite track off this one, but Harris's Strange World is pretty damn beautiful. )
Iron Maiden-- Eddie's Archive box set disc 1&2 (the BBC sessions)-- man o man these recordings are good!!
Iron Maiden-- Satellite 15....The Final Frontier ( getting way more of an appreciation for this one. Not one weak track at all.)
Headscan-- Pattern Recognition. ( aggressive EDM mixed with gothic industrial soundscapes. )
Trivium--- Ab Anitio
Hibernal-- the dark of the city
Iron Maiden-- Brave New World ( a flawless album. Production and all. ;)
Frost-- Milliontown. ( this is a grower but I like Snowman right off the bat. )
Aphex Twin-- Selected Ambient works Vol 2.
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

^  I only own Empress Rising but I've heard Vaenir and it is similar.
Heavy, down tuned, doom, sludge with minimal drone vocals.
