I can imagine the band is pretty busy at the moment with the new album coming and the Stone gigs and all, so it's no wonder if the shop is functioning kind of slowly. Better late than never I'm still not crazy about Lambency, it's definitely very interesting, but I'm not yet sure of how good I think it is.

Blue Lambency was trying wayyy too hard. Hopefully Driver will have some new appreciation and consideration for his audience after the Part the Second project, which was awesome.
I just got done reviewing the album and after the multiple listens that requires, I may never listen to it again.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

I went out to replace my MP3 player, and stumbled across the Weather Report- Live at Montreux DVD at a nearby second hand store. I couldn't turn it down.

Oh, me too, Joel. I'll admit to being a big SW fanboy. I buy every PT album, all his side projects, all the stuff he's done with Opeth, the OSI album he's on, and I try and find every interview with him in print.

Today I bought:
Oceansize- Frames CD/DVD limited edition
Katatonia- Live Consternation CD/DVD
Pain of Salvation- Ending Themes: The Two Deaths of Pain of Salvation
King Crimson- Red (hey, I am still relatively new at this whole prog game! Unfortunately, I couldn't find the Steve Wilson-mixed reissue here in Australia, so I ended up buying an earlier remaster. Hope it sounds OK)
Muse- HAARP CD/DVD
Dream Theater- Score 20th Anniversary DVD
I'm in a particularly proggy mood this week (saw Porcupine Tree on Sunday, and it was excellent), so I went on another proggy spending spree. Someone stop me from walking into CD shops, please!

I've seen them live (opening for Porcupine Tree), and they didn't do much for me. They weren't a great live band eiter... Maybe it's just me. |
