I'm calling a 19 inning marathon tonight between the Pirates and Cubs. Final score... 1-0 LOL

Thankfully it didn't end like that. Freddy went 6 for 6. Check his bat for some cork.

I couldn't help but laugh through that entire game...it was like batting practice

I'm sure both teams could go for some batting practice after what they have been through in recent days.

Most certainly LOL I have faith the Cubs will turn it around- it seems like anything and everything is going wrong at the moment. We shall see

As the smoke clears on the Manny issue, it's nice to see that there's still plenty of fans having fun with it.

A wonderful campaign to get the man elected to the All Star game:
Vote for Manny

Of course, the only logical replacement for Mannywood would be:
JUANPIERREWOOD

I like the Juan Pierre T-shirt.

Yeah!!! The Tigers beat the Royals 8 - 3 to take the series 2 games to 1.  Now on to Baltimore.

The Yanks win the series against the Rangers 2-1. 11 runs in the first win, 9 in this. Their pitching really seems to be turning around as well!

So was anyone else entertained by Zambrano's antics yesterday? Taking a bat to a drink dispenser. Classic!

^ Ah yes that was classic.

Yanks win again 3-1. I believe that puts them 8 above .500 and should have the lead in the division.
Glad to see Mo still has his stuff

Buccos score a run in the ninth against the Stros on a groundout. What is with this team?

Yanks win again! Another pretty good performance from CC as well as an offensive explosion. Things are falling into place!

The Rockies fired Clint Hurdle Friday. I wonder who's next? Nats or Stros manager?

Who the Censored is Luke Scott and how the hell as he hit 14 home runs in 15 games against the Tigers (or something like that)?  Well, at least the Tigers came away with a split of their 4 game series with the Orioles after they lost the first two games.

Yet again! Joba had one of his best games ever. 8 full innings, kept his stuff good throughout.
And I havn't seen him throw 97/98 mph since his days as a reliever.

This Orioles team is going to be phenomenal two years from now. MacPhail has done an incredible job in building a young team; they have so many young players just getting ready to burst into the system (Wieters started his first game Friday). And they all have extremely promising futures. The level of excitement, at least among my group of Orioles friends, is unprecedented

Yanks currently up 9-3 in the fourth!
This is reminding me of the good ol days...of not too long ago.

And baseball can be so mundane and mellow I LOVE when it gets physical, (well as much as it can).
Mark Teixeira got hit twice (second time pretty blatant) and he was pissed. The anouncers claimed he  yelled keep the ball over the plate....but reading his mouth it seemed a lil different....LOL

All I know is he ran into second base HARD and poor baseman literally went flipping through the air! I love it. Especially when it is clean... Even better, Yanks put up 5 runs in the inning after that.

And who says baseball cant be exciting.
