Ha! He apparently has been out of the media and wanted to be in the spotlights again. Confused Why didn't he go to the police in the very same day he was assaulted? People here are treating this issue as a hoax, produced by... Pelé. Tongue

say it aint so man... I worshipped him as a kid Cry

Hey, Micky, generally games involving national teams are not that great; they often have no time to achieve the harmonic status of a well coached and prepared club team. On the other side, there's the emotional level since national prides and flags are playing too. Wink

the emotional level and all that is a real draw for me even if the playing may not be up to regular snuff.. I thought about trying to drag Raff to an AS  Roma match when I was there last... but thought better of it.  Would have liked to seen a match like that in person.  Maybe even have to chance to bust a few heads in the stands as well LOL  I would have been a great English 'hooligan' myself... Embarrassed

Pele was a wonder with his feet... but every time he opens his mouth, we can expect some magnificent wisdom...WinkLOL... (although less than with Maradona...)

Well, with the Orange and France, only my favorite remains, the Deutsche Mannschaft.

Let's go Germany! Defeat Constantin and then, PLEASE, don't let Spain win!

I'm rooting for Turkey today (sorry Rivertree) - always for the underdog. The same for Russia as well, although one might argue that it's Spain who need to step up if they plan to beat Russia after their performance against the Netherlands.

Should be fun.

What a cruel match   Ermm   but in the end the German team was better because of some excellent players like Lahm ... and Schweinsteiger  ...

and now we are having an emergency situation on the streets ....

Good for the Germans, but it was not glorious.....scoring the winner at the last minute against an almost Turkey ''B'' team....they will need to play better if they want to win the tournament!

I've seen Schweinsteiger, Lahm but were were Ballack , Lehman and the defence? sleeping!!!
But if they play the final the same way they did against Portugal, they can win it!

hahhaha...  I could imagine... I remember when my college beat our archrivals in football for like the first time in 30 years...  we burned cars.. looted stores and  bars...  fought the campus police... ahhh...  the good old days. LOL

not sure if yours is for winning...  or barely beating the Turkish B team as Febus said hahahha. Congrats Uwe..  look forward to seeing them in the final.. should be great match no matter if Russia or Spain.

Ok, quick prediction before kick off:

Spain 2  Germany 2

Spain win 4-2 after extra time...

So I guess it will be 0-0 now!

Well it was 1-0 but it was the easiest 1-0 ever.

Congratulations to Spain and they're flowing football and inventiveness.

As for Germany, time to rebuild. They way over-achieved by reaching the final. This was easily the worst German defensive unit I've ever seen!!

It's been a great tournament.

Well, the Germans were simply sh*t in creating opportunities and the Spanish were too good at controlling the ball. It was easy as that.

missed all but the extra time due to chasing the almighty dollar...  but good to see Spain win it... up to this match.. they appeared to have been the best team out there.  Listening to the talking heads on TV they showed in on the pitch today as well.  Congrats Spain.. party hardy dudes. Burn a car for the BIg Mick or toss off a Molotov cocktail for my better half. Clap

Mickey, if homeland security can read you now? LOL. You love danger !
But you are right , the Spaniards sure know how to toss a party, probably last 3 months, knowing them.
The Germans should only win deservedly, this game, they sucked..... Justice prevailed, excellent team won the whole deal. Great tournament, one of the better spectacles ina while. Special applause to the Turks who showed incredible mental/physical fortitude.
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.
