hey everyone, I think that all of us who voted should write something about our personal #1 to celebrate. After who cares what anyone else thinks, share why you love your #1 album. I'll be back soon about "The Lamb". Kenmar |
That's what the snippits were for but by all means go ahead.

I was thinking of something more personal than a review, a lot more personal. Our favorite album of all time says a lot about us. Our thoughts, histories, scars, hopes, etc. I'd like to hear from other people about why they love a certain album so much.

I'll work on a review and a more personal, ah, testimonial about that Art Bears album that no-one cares about. Good idea. =)

Well, the ending was predictable, but this was a lot of fun. Maybe if someone does this again more people will participate.

Great list. I'm *so* glad that no less than three Crimson albums got in the top 10, though Red coming higher than Court or Larks' is a travesty, imho. Larks' is my current #1 Album, but I felt that I didn't have enough albums to put in a fair vote at the time. Glad to see CTTE, SEBTP and WYWH as top 3.

Right. So my number one album of all time didn't even make anyone elses list? What the hell, people! Great work, Dan, we love you so much! It isn't your fault that the top 10 was so predictable, there has been millions of lists over the years and Genesis or Yes has won every single one.. ah well.

So I just got to see the list today (been out of town), and I'm quite pleased with it. Many of my top albums got into the higher ranks. Glad to see In Absentia in the top 10 - no matter how many people there may be that don't like the way PT has evolved, I will always love that album. Great list . Thanks Dan for all the time spent on it.

Thanks Daniel, you did pull of this thread very well!
It was very entertaining and I loved it heaps. It did only come a bit to soon for me, because I just started rating my albums.
Well, I guess there will be a next time (so I keep "working" on my list).
I'm already looking forward to the ultimate PA song list! (I'm already working on it!)

Incredible work Dan, a surprising list for the most part with only the top 10 (largely) predictable. Good luck witht the song list, though I'm not too sure whether I'll be able to get a list in for that. *imagines head exploding at trying to compile a list of favourit songs*
Kenmar, have you seen review for Pain of Salvations The Perfect Element? I dont think I could really explain better than that why I consider it to be my favourite album.

How about we do it again, but members are not permitted to vote on any album currently in the top 50.

Thanks all of you. I think this was a success and I couldn't have done it without your participation. We all knew how the top 5 were going to turn out but those are all classic albums that desereve it (cough except WYWH cough).
Shakes, that is a really cool idea, perhaps after the song list. I think more people will participate now that the first worked so well. I'll have that final list along with a few other goodies up today.

Or we could do it again, but people could ONLY vote on Zeuhl and RIO albums.

Genre based lists are not a bad idea either. I might do one in the meantime.

If LTiA truly isn't in the top fifty then the entire website just failed epic-style. :(
