Sorry for the delay. Also we are in a long(ish) lockdown, and I'll not be in the forums that much. Just don't feel like it. Don't be worried, my whereabouts is quite alright (at least for now).
My votes are going to: 1-) VDGG - Manuelle (I prophesy disaster) 2-) Pearl Jam “Dance of the Clairvoyants” (mathman) 3-) Blue Öyster Cult - "The Alchemist" (Raff) C'ya all. Edited by Shadowyzard - April 30 2021 at 11:17 |

@suitkees: I have bought the 2019 Nits album Knot, which is really astonishing. I know some Nits but this is quite a bit deeper and more experimental than what I had heard before; I wouldn't have expected this. Surely not an album for all moods, but one that probably deserves many listens, thanks for bringing it up!

^ My pleasure, really! I'm glad you like this album that much. I actually think it may be one of their better albums... Their previous one, Angst is a bit in a similar vein, maybe slightly less experimental. Personally, of their albums I also like Les nuits (2005) very much - it's a bit darker - and of their earlier work you should give their album Omsk a listen; apart from one or two average new wave pop tunes (we're in 1983!) you will find some of their experimental tendencies already there. They have their youtube channel, so you can give them all a listen before buying (but you probably already found that one).

Thanks. In fact my brother-in-law is a big fan of the lighter pop/new wave side of Nits and gave me the Nest sampler and Doing the Dishes as a present. There's some very nice stuff but overall a bit too light for my taste. I have heard Omsk once which I prefer to those, but it seems there is more on the darker/more experimental side to explore.
