I found this picture on a dinosaur website. It is supposed to show the monster crocodile sarcosuchus in fight with suchomimus, a dinosaur predator. However, somehow I can't help myself thinking that suchomimus just told sarcosuchus a joke, and both are laughing about it now. What's your opinion?

It's the first ever recorded example of the classic:

"My Brachiosaur has no nose"

"How does he smell"

"Terrible"

Dinosaur Comics is made of pure awesomeness. Cool

I went to the Qwantz site and must say I was less than impressed. first of all, it is the same comic over and over again, only with different text. second those comics have nothing to do with dinosaurs at all; you might as well have two rabbits or two bluebottle flies discussing.

I think it's crocodile tears Friede Wink

reminds me (a bit) of this snippet of 70s wonder:

The raft was hurled by an unseen source,
Two hundred feet, with frightening force
And a dark mass rising showed to be
A giant porpoise rising out of the angry sea,
Towered the creatures' enemy,

And so the two sea monsters closed for battle

Crocodile teeth, lizard's head,
Bloodshot eye, stained ocean red
Moving close to their raft's side,
The two men prayed as one and cried
"Save me, save me, save me, save me"
What?

So?  It's well-written.  That's what matters to me.  I could care less about the artwork.

Talk about not seeing the wood for the trees... the way it's the same comic over and over but with different text, and the fact that the characters being dinos is irrelevant are part of the joke. Wink

Me, I enjoy it. At times it reminds me of Calvin & Hobbes.

I think it would be fine for being part of the joke once, but repeatedly? it gets a bit stale after a while. you don't put mustard in everything you cook either

Doin' it for the prehistoric lulz.

Also, Qwantz is amazing.  Part of what I love about the restricted artwork is the off-panel invisible characters it creates, like God who talks in all caps, and the devil who only wants to talk about obscure video games... and of course Mr. Tusks the tiny elephant who makes bad puns (He is the mayor of tiny towne island!) LOL

if you want some really interesting comics, try these:
http://www.leviathan.co.uk/menu.html
they were done by Peter Blegvad of Slap Happy and Henry Cow and are intellectually very stimulating
