Topic: Whiskey or Tequila (no chasers) Posted: February 19 2008 at 14:07 |
Puppies or kittens?!?! GAH!!!!
Here's real poll.
Straight shots, no chasers. Spec out your brand.
For me, Jose Cuervo Especial.

I am a pussy, because I like things that taste good and whiskey does not taste good! What's the point of nicking booze from yer parent's cabinet if you hate it all. Damn you taste buds, damn you.

Whisky. My favourite brand is Springbank. We still have some of a bottle of 25 year old Springbank at home and are very careful with it, because the 25 year old no longer seems to be for sale, and even if it was it would be very expensive. A 37-year old version of Springbank also exists, but I never had the chance of tasting it. Since the 25 year old one already is sublime, the 37 year old must be nectar of the Gods.

Whiskey in all its forms. Sipping on a glass of smooth Tullamore Dew in this very moment.

I'm actually with Stonas on this one. I never seemed to start liking alcohol, so i just kinda gave up. I have to find some other way to be sophisticated and rebellious at the same time.

Nothing wrong with alcohol as long as it is taken in small quantities.

I agree. Unfortunately, i live in sweden, so we're huddled in our cocoon for 6 days a week and then we drink until we're just alive enough to tell people we love nasty stuff and hit someone on our way home from the pile of snow where we spent the night.
Still, my personal gripe with it is that i can't swallow it, it tastes like poison to me. All of it, even the melon-tasting ciders with radioactive green hue which some people don't even bother trying to get drunk with. : )

Good thinking. You'll be better off.
And is drinking really all that sophisticated? I used to tell myself that I was classy because I drank fine wine, micro-brewed beer, and single malt scotch. Turns out I was still just an alcoholic.

Well, I prefer....wait, I'm 19 years old, I've never had alchohol before. See that, I'm a good, law-abiding citizen.

Try driving reaaalllly fast, it's loads of fun. If you want to be sophisticated too, get a BMW, or a Benz, or steal one, or both.

I haven't tried as much liquor as I have beer. However, I tried some pretty decent brands of both whiskey and tequilla: Johnny Walker and Petron. I'll take the JW every time, no contest.

Tequila, although used to like whiskey more. But to be honest, I barely drink much alcohol anymore, other than the odd glass of wine at parties sometimes.

If you call Johnny Walker "decent" you have not tasted any really good Whisky yet, else you would give it some other rather depreciating name.
