...I didn't look to see if this existed...which means that, as soon as some jerk, one who hates me, wastes ten minutes searching for some prehistoric poll, this will be closed. Thank you future jerk.

In the meantime, I can only remember someone asking for favorite song off each disc; I'll have to resurrect those. Or just re-do 'em. Which will be MUCH cooler. Or time consuming.

Now, me? Well, 'course I love both of 'em discs. Damn near perfect they is. But there's a big ole slump on disc two, from "Is There Anybody Out There" to "The Show Must Go On," where everything is "okayish," but "ineffective." So I reckon I prefer disc one. There.

Disc two by far. Disc one has the awful Another Brick trilogy.

Let's see here....the first side starts off very strong...but then tails off just a bit around Empty Spaces.  Now the second side is consistent and has the "bigger" tracks.  I'll go with disc 2 just for Hey You, my favorite Floyd track.

Now wait a second, the fourth option is quite enticing.....on second thought, I better not, I'm on a diet (or at least pretending to be on one)

Right, Disc 2 it is.

Yeah, I used to hate "Brick in the Wall" too, 'cause I heard it on the radio so much...but, within the context of the opera, it totally works.

i can`t understand why one has to hate a song "just because it was on the radio..or because is just a bit more commercial or in slightly a differente style from what the band has done before..
one should like a song because a song gives you something ,if it does..
another brink in the wall.. contains probably one of the best solos in rock music ever...
but..obviously ..it has been played on the radio.. so it doesn`t count..!!

there is no disc one and two in the concept... there just doesn't happen to be an audio format with enough space for the whole album...

I don't like taking sides in debates like this.

But I actually like the top of the Wall, with a back-lit Sir David Gilmour standing atop of it soloing like a demon. Evil%20Smile

Why do you people feel the need to do this????????

If you are going to come into a thread and needlessly bash something,at least explain WHY you think it sucks.

And I am not a huge PF fan,so you can't accuse me of "fanboyism".

When you put in a smart ass poll question option, I have to go for it every time, because let's face it, I'm a wise guy.  How about a wall of cheetos?  How about going back to LP format in which there are four sides to choose from (though still technically two discs)?
Just looking at the track listings, if I was going to be serious about this, I'd have to go with disc two.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...
