I looked up Friday Night in San Francisco and found it reviews saying it was under the band name

AL DI MEOLA, JOHN MCLAUGHLIN, PACO DE LUCÍA,

which will take you to a location for this "group" with three albums listed.  However when I try and find them under the alphabetical listings, they are nowhere I can see.
Not under Al Di Meola... or Di Meola, Al, John McLaughlin...   Am I just overlooking something?  The mystery is killing me.Stern%20Smile

I was trying to figure out where to post the DVD of McLaughlin Delucia and Coryell.  Since they never did any albums, I guess it'll have to go under McLaughlin.

Strange, i found it by searching in the review i wrote, i have the sensation that it was under Mclaughlin`s discography before but now i coulnd`t find it in neither Di Meola`s or Mclaughlin`s discography, not sure what happened Confused they shouldn`t be under L since DeLucia is not here, if it was the case, it should be under "D"

Hey Joe's got a snazzy web site.  Hasn't been updated since 2005 though.

Interesting.
In my opinion, we can't say the order of Al Di Meola, J. McLaughlin, Paco De Lucia is mutually fix, because, if you observe the covers, all three get swap the first name position on each album.

And, though it is conventional, I hardly think anyway that you can say Meola, Al Di, when you have a band of three artists. All should definitely have their cursive name. Thus nothing like "Meola, J. McLaughlign, Paco De Lucia...Al Di" LOL

Should be think of naming (including/formatting) this to "The Guitar Trio", despite that it's a name brought in by Coryell?

What is the best letter for them to appear under then?
I can fix it if there is agreement.

If no for "Guitar Trio, The", I would put them under A, without formatting Meola's first name.

Thus

Letter A: Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin, Paco De Lucia

We would not normally sort by a first name, it would be better if one of the surname's was used. I can change it to (the) Guitar trio if that is how they are officially collectively known.

Can't exceptions work, we're not talking an artist, we're talking three. Confused

And I don't think The Guitar Trio is that official. Coryell founded the trio with McLaughling and De Lucia with this name, but, otherwise, I think it's more common the way it is now. Even covers use the three names.

Better to ask Dick too, when you see him around.

San Francisco has it "Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin, Paco De Lucia"
Passion, Grace and Fire has it "John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola, Paco De Lucia"
The Guitar Trio has it "Paco De Lucia, Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin"

what to expect? Wacko

Just a minor note: I remember that some time ago the matter of Al Di Meola's name was settled with the help of Raffaella, who is a native Italian speaker. She said his actual last name is DIMEOLA, with the participation particle ("Di") included, as opposed to other languages where the particle does not belong to the last name.

That's good, and, well, Di Meola's solo work is under D.

But doing the same for the trio just seems weird.

"Di Meola, John McLaughlin, Paco De Lucia, Al"

Confused

Well, most of the CDs I have, have it as Di Meola, so I let the guy do it the way he likes it done.  I just checked my CD log I enter it however the cover does.  I even have a "DiMeola", which might satisfy both camps.  Al's web site has it as

Al Di Meola
