I did have the luck to catch them when they were last here, twas rather good
Of their older stuff i've only got Extinct Instinct, and it's
excellent, appaprently its the most proggy of their earlier
albums. Back then they had a different singer, Damien Wilson
instead of Mac, i personally prefer Wilson's vocals, but i guess its
just a matter of taste, but YES, their early stuff is definitely worth
checking out.

I like them live better than on studio recordings. Mac puts on a good show (don't know about Damian, for I never saw him perform).
It's a nice metal band.

Same here. Exit Damian, enter Mac, and I excused myself, as well. The first three Threshold CDs are all super: Wounded Land, Psychedelicatessen, Extinct Instinct (Psych has Glynn Morgan as vocalist, but he's also great, and sounds a bit like Damian).
Same deal with Arena...Paul Wrightson left, and so did I. I hear the new one, Pepper's Ghost, is a return to form.

Ah...Eternity X. A great band. A defunct band. Before they left us, they did give us one last album, their best, a concept album called The Edge. I got this when it first came out and played the f**k out of it! I revisit it from time to time. The album before it, Mind Games, is also great. That's all you need by them. But The Edge is a prog-metal classic. Apparently Keith Sudano made the Ashes To Ashes 2CD (or whatever it's called) available for a limited time. I heard it just didn't stack up to The Edge. Part of that had to do, no doubt, with the parting of 3/5 of the band, and replacing the keyboardist with another lead guitarist (yawn).
