Ok, guys. I'm affraid the place where I live isn't so exciting as the ones already posted... Ouch But here we go, anyway:

The central place of the town

The remnants of a former linen factory (the table on the second pic says "Have a nice work")

In a part of the factory there's a supermarket now

The Town's museum (it was the factory owner's residence at the turn of the XIX and XX centuries)

One of the streets near the factory

Where I live now.....

It's not necessarily you where you live that counts, but how you live that is important...... and now, I am very happy!!!

Bodø is my hometown!

The city seen from above:

The island Landegode, just outside Bodø, at dusk(or dawn?):

couldn't really find more nice pictures(right now at least)
The scattered jigsaw of my redemption laid out before my eyes
Each piece as amorphous as the other - Each piece in its lack of shape a lie

BTW, my town's name is Żyrardów. It derives from the surname of a french engeneer and inventor Philippe Henri de Girard who worked in the factory in the XIX century introducing his linen spinning machine.  Smile

What's the derivation of your town's name?

My city is pretty lame compared to yours guys... Ouch

It is a Montreal Suburb called Repentigny. Couldn't find a lot of photos on the internet.

Here are the islands surrounding the town :

Here is one (if not the one) of the oldest churches in America. It's about 2 blocks from where I live :

And here is a windmill that's also really close to where I live :

And here is a view from above that shows the proximity to Montreal :

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

What a great thread, here is my hometown The Hague:

Bij-zon

This is 10 minutes from my home: the beach-place Kijkduin, a few miles from Scheveningen.

A more and more rare scene in Holland because of the global warming: snow!

Het Buitenhof, the famous residence of our politicians.

This is my view from our appartment on the 6th floot in Kijkduin (The Hague), Holland.
