I like the KC remasters best. They have awesome sound and the booklets with the newspaper clippings are a nice touch.

The only ones I have so far are some of the Yes remasters, and they sound excellent. They have very nice packaging aswell. A good buy!

I disagree about the Yes remasters. On some of them the bonus tracks are really quite superfluous - especially those of "Relayer" and "Going for the One", while "Fraglile" is OK due to the presence of "America".

In my very humble opinion, out of this list the best remasters are those by JT and VDGG, at least as far as bonus material is concerned. I'd also like to add the Caravan remasters, which are probably the best around.

Well yes, you're right about that, but I tend not to listen to the bonus tracks anyways.

The Rush remasters are great, the Genesis Definitive Edition Remasters are great (just received the Trespass Remaster, not available in Canada, and it sheds new light on an excellent album!!!) and lately I bought the Moonmadness and Music Inspired from the Snow Goose Decca remastered editions by Camel, and they are amazing. Clap
 
Also love the Gentle Giant rereleases...

I voted for the VDGG, and also enjoy the Tull. I would have to pick the Camel remasters as my third.

I went with Genesis. Yes would've been my first choice, but they put all of those meaningless singles edits and studio run throughs.

I went for the Jethro Tull remasters, since I had none on CD, only on cassette and vinyl until that time, thought it would be a sweet opportunity. I'm not such a remaster/re-releases/msfl/et caetera fan or do act out of this collection impulse. however when it's absolutely a fair opportunity, I just may.

(oh, one exception, I have all the Klaus Schulze re-releases) Embarrassed so much bonus material I just can't stay away. Embarrassed

Edit: sorry, I've sort of went outside the question. my answer has no vote, since I only have the JT remasters, therefore not a view in ensemble.

I definitely agree about the Caravan remasters. Wonderful bonus tracks from a great band!
Also recommended: the remasters of Jethro Tull's WARCHILD (superb bonus tracks) and BROADSWORD AND THE BEAST (bonus tracks are much better than the original album).

I like the VdGG and KC remasters if only for the booklet they contain.

I voted for VdGG because of the great bonus tracks they add. Thumbs Up

 It was a tough choice between Tull and King Crimson for me. The King Crimson remasters have wonderful sound quality and they have those newspaper articles, but the Tull albums have superb bonus tracks. I ended up voting for Tull in the end, but it was close.

So far I have read about bonus track and renovated booklets.

The top 3 in the remasters league are for me:

1. Van der Graaf Generator
2. King Crimson
3. Jethro Tull

That is a good point. The bonus tracks may be interesting, but they are not necessary. Those older Genesis albums were in desperate need of remastering.

Because I don't care about the extra tracks, I did like the Yes editions. Although I only have two ("Fragile" TfTO), the improvement in the sound quality is great. TfTO was more than worth it. It makes my original copy sound like a bootleg.

I voted the Yes remasters! The extras are well worth it even if only from an historical viewpoint! It always intrigues me listening to a song in it's foetus stage. Those who don't like listening to demos ect have the option of skipping them so the argument that they are'nt worthwhile is futile, but at least they are there, which is why I would not vote for the Genesis and King Crimson remasters ect.
 
I also think the remastered 'YESSONGS' is probably the most improved sound I've heard on any remastered album! Special mention to the 5:1 'FRAGILE' CD alsoClap
