Mine is when Hackett left Genesis and Phil Collins took over and destroyed them. So I voted other.

Syd Barrett going completely *bonkers* and as such being forced to leave PF was quite a tragedy I think.

It wasn't all Collins fault that Genesis got crappy, it was the whole bands fault, understand??

EXACTLY. Tony Banks still wrote the biggest portion of their material after Hackett left...

Yeah but It was Collins who direct them, on a interview I saw with him it was he who got them to write those daft love songs.

Mike Rutherford was a pretty poppy guy too, just like Collins! Im not sure about Banks though..

Fish leaving marillion and morse leaving the beard...though i still like some of SB output after he left...its hard for me to say that about Marillion

I like Steve Hogarth so I can't say anything about Fish. It would
have to be Genesis because they became irrelevant after Gabriel left.

Gabriel leaving Genesis.
Dont care much for Waters leaving PF because their last two albums (Wall and Final Cut) were crap.

What about Greg Lake leaving Crimson?
The obvious answer for me is Gabriel (& Hackett!) leaving genesis.
