You forgot Finland, Netherlands and Norway!!! There is a lot of prog metal there!!!
...I still go for Sweden I think, as Pain of Salvation and Opeth (whcih Im starting to like) are from there...

My vote goes for USA : Dream Theater(maybe the "creators") , Symphony X, Shadow Gallery and more are from there...

But Sweden is not far........ Opeth an POS are from there.

Both North American and Scandinavian origins seem to fill most Progressive Metal (or even raw metal) bands with an immediate advantage, looming as an uncanny, congenial trait of some unearthly magnanimity of sorts. 

This is why you should let Robin save the day...

US and Sweeden are tied IMO with them both having some very good prog metal  but I'll vote for US to keep them on track.

Queensryche I never considered prog metal either.
