To mention the obvious: "The Waiting Room" by Genesis and "The Devil's Triangle" by King Crimson.

Aphrodite's Child - 666

Tubular Bells, just the opening "exorcist" part... on a loop.

...but seriously: "Signify" by Porcupine Tree. Yes, the whole album.

There seriously needs to be a prog concept album about darkness. You know, Halloween, Luigi's Mansion-type stuff. Like Genesis, but much darker. Like................Leviticus! The perfect shadow version of Genesis!

Pioneers over 'C' by Van der Graaf. Especially the bit about your eye falling out of your head and lying on your cheek.

Floyd - Careful with That Axe, Eugene

John McLaughlin on Birds of Fire (well, it scares me)

  1. Heaven and Hell (Vangelis): Really scary.
  2. 666 (Aphrodite's Child)
  3. Tubular Bells (Mike Oldfield)
  4. Tales of Mystery and Imagination Edgard Alan Poe (Alan Parsons); Tha fall of the House of the Usher is terrifying.
  5. Another Red Nightmare (Song by King Crimson): I have flying phobia, so this song makes me wet my pants.

How about Porcupine Tree's - "In Absentia".. actually "Blackest Eyes"

A mother sings a lullaby to a child
Sometime in the future the boy goes wild
And all his nerves are feeling some kind of energy

A walk in the woods and I will try
Something under the trees that made you cry
It's so erotic when your make up runs

I got wiring loose inside my head
I got books that I never ever read
I got secrets in my garden shed
I got a scar where all my urges bled
I got people underneath my bed
I got a place where all my dreams are dead
Swim with me into your blackest eyes

A few minutes with me inside my van
Should be so beautiful if we can
I'm feeling something taking over me

THIS IS ELP
