UNION is so bad, that the best tracks were written by Rabin.

The biggest dissapointment in Yes repertoire.

I voted for Magnification, only for how grossly overrated the damn thing is.

Out of principle I had to vote for 90125 as it was not better than big generator and "owner of a lonley heart" made all the record companies require other prog bands to go for radio airplay or be dropped, or be denied a recording deal.

I enjoy 90125 in the same way that I enjoy Rush's Signals...  a very good pop album.  "Leave it" is a really neat song, and "Owner of a Lonely Heart" is pretty catchy.

Without a doubt, it has to be that turgid `Toramto ' What a horribile album!!! There are some terrible songs on there to be sure such as Don`t Kill the Whale, Arriving UFO and Madrigal, but none far worse than Circus OF Heaven. If you really like that song, than this album is a must have for you. To me, this song is sickly sweet that it could induce me into a diabetic coma.

Worst of all, Rick`s polymoog keybroard sounds have not aged well. It sounds as if he is playing one of those $34.95 casio jobs you can purchase from Radio Shack. Wakeman and Howe seem to be interested as to who can play more notes than the other. The one good and redeeming track is `On the Silent Wings of Freedom.'

I never heard Open Your Eyes, so I can's speak about that one. For the rest: I heard them all and Union is my least favourite. There are some good moments, but overall... something is really missing.

Someone voted CTTE !

Obviously cant read.

Union is atrocious, but then this band has somehow managed to make so many below-par efforts that it tarnishes their overall standing.
Like a boxer who doesnt know when to hang up his gloves and goes out for one more fight too many we've had the following:

Union,Big Generator,Talk and Open Your Eyes. One can barely imagine how these were allowed out of the studio....

Open Your Eyes ... that was Yes? Are you serious? I mean, I know it has the
Yes logo on the cover and everything, but ... well ... I just never thought
such a magnificent band could release such a piece of crap.

I find 'open your eyes' to be their worst....

To me, 'Big generator', 'union' and 90125 ALL have some tracks that are good...

'open your eyes' has two LISTENABLE songs, it is truly a bad album, the songs are simply NOT good.

I'm thinking 90125, only because I can't stand Trevor Horn and all that sh*tty '80's OVERproduction.  Only my opinion, though.

I can't even imagine thinking Tormato is the worst Yes album. What are
you hearing? Tormato still has some prog elements and has some quality
songs (prog or not.) I can understand not liking it but saying that it's
worse than Big Generator, Union, Open Your Eyes, 90125? Idk maybe I'm
alone here.

Anyway, I chose Union just for the whole purpose of it (and because it is
just as insanely bad as all the other yes pop albums.) The whole thing was
just to make money and the way it was done is disturbing. Should have
never been recorded.

I agree with you with the 80s OVERproduction. All of it is terrible IMO. But
you don't meean Trevor Horn. Trevor Horn played bass and sang on Drama
which IMO is an excellent album. If Yes stayed with that lineup they may
have made a nice string of albums in the 80s. Too bad.

IMHO 90125 and Union are not THAT bad.

I have not heard Big Generator and OpenYour Eyes, but I don't really believe, that I've missed

something.
