Through the Years: One track per decade

I did an "In & out of PA faves: starting 2023 & moving down" to try to get more of an idea of the forum poster's tastes of albums through the years, but I thought here to maybe focus on one track you really like for each decade. It's easy to do, I think, and it makes it easier for me to check out music you like. I then will add it to a playlist so that I can listen to the music. I suggest not to think that hard about your choices, but what springs to mind.

Feel free to cover as many decades as you wish and to come up with alternate lists with one track per decade.

Here is my first one track per decade list (the obvious one of these to me to start with is River Man that I find so very beautiful and touching):

Note: Lots of video embeds cause issues for people, so if linking, I suggest hyperlinks (if you can) or embeds for key videos. I hope to add all to the playlist where I will try to add those so the songs are next to others of the decade.

* Added the 1950s to my list. I thought about going with Stockhausen, Charles Mingus, and Jean-Jacques Perrey's Prélude au sommeil, but went with Jimmie Haskell.

Really nice to listen to the Beatles again. I had not heard the Atmos, was meaning to check out Atmos, I'm digging this.

I will do another, in the 1990s especially there were several more that I really wanted to do this time. I went with a well-known one that had a huge effect on me when I first heard it considerable years ago.

I was going to go for a Melody's Echo Chmaber one for the 202Os, but then I remembered this live studio session of Vanishing Twin's "Cryonic Suspension May Save Your Life" from 2020 that I came across not long ago, a song that I have brought up more than once before for the studio album version on 2019's The Age of Immunology.
