Blackwater Park is without a doubt one of Opeth's greatest albums, but personally i think Still Life is their best. Maybe because that was the first Opeth album i heard.

Blackwater Park is the only Opeth album I have heard, and I loved it. It gave me a new appreciation for the heavier side of prog.

My first introduction to Opeth was with BlackWater Park and although I adore the music, i found the growling vocals a little off putting. But i have grown to love it. I agree Dirge for November is amazing!

i really wanna check out some of their other stuff but i havent got around to it. I loved blackwater park. Its incredible how they can use acoustic guitars and then build up into death metal screams and riffs. The vocals are so good.

I discovered Opeth about 2 years ago and devoured everything I could
find by them right down to a stellar cover of Celtic Frost's "Circle of
Tyrants" and an Iron Maiden cover. I think they have done nothing but

Blackwater Park is amazing, but even after extensive listening to all of Opeth's albums, I've never wavered from my belief that Orchid is still their best. Man, fantastic songs like Forest Of October never get old, and they're rea

I didn't find Still Life as interesting as I'd hoped, I'm always left with the impression that they play each riff too many times. (I'm not saying it's terrible, the sound is lovely in both the lighter and the heavier parts, I could just have listened to i
