In all honesty, I never understood what's so special about Seinfeld. I just see some cleverness and insightful observations on humanity; anyway it was watchable at best, for me.
I'll go with Married... with Children. I think it was a hilarious show. It had me laughing in the aisles, countless times. |

I'm not a fan of either show. I prefer Home Improvement with Tim "the toolman" Taylor.

Yup, it overstayed its welcome in the long run (so did Seinfeld), but the humour was something brand new back then.

MWC...hilarious !!! "Oh Al !" Got the whole series on DVD. Seinfeld was clever, but a very different kind of humour.

I love Seinfeld. Married... with Children was OK, I've seen much worse.

I've watched both, and enjoyed both. But Seinfeld produced far more memorable classics. All that you have to mention a common phrase... Master of his domain. Puffy shirt. Festivus for the rest of us. Man hands. No soup for you! Serenity now! It shrinks? ...and the list goes on. |

Hi,
Didn't dislike any of the shows, but did not watch them regularly, either. In general, the living room kind of shows that American TV seems to like (cheapest filming EVER!!!), just is not my cup of tea. Reminds me of the acting/directing class at UCSB ... they teach the kids poses and expressions from the TV shows! Somehow, some of the stuff on the BBC channel is more interesting for me ... and I wish the BBC offered streaming from England, so we could watch a lot of the stuff that we can't get ... reminds me of that series with the Detective (can't remember his name but he was also in a couple of HP films!) and the first parts of the thing with Helen Mirren ... which were not shown here for quite sometime. But I miss the more risky stuff they had way back when ... Mile High ... Footballer's Wives ... and many other shows that looked like they were not the pick f the picks, but they really were well done and had a lot of funny/farout stuff. American TV can only do the risky stuff through the keyhole and we can't see anything! Makes you wonder how Playboy made it 55 years ago!

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

I admit I never watched Married...with children. And up until about 2010 I had only seen a few Seinfeld episodes. It had aired at a time that I wasn't watching TV. I always knew I would like it and when I finally watched every episode that was confirmed

I admit that I find "Curb Your Enthusiasm" slightly better than Seinfeld

My first impulse was Seinfeld, since I was probably more hardcore about that one at the time, but went with “both” because MwC was just as good and equally enjoyable, if a bit darker.
