Apologies if anyone has already covered this topic, I have searched for it and found nothing.
Periods:
1967-75 - quintet period
1975-77 - quartet period
1978-1983 - early trio period
1983-91 - late trio period
1996-7 - Ray Wilson period
Points out of 5, 5 = good, 1 = bad.
My preference:
1967-75 - 5
1976-77 - 4
1978-83 - 5
1983-91 - 3
1996-97 - 1

Of the choices, I would say the quartet period '75 - '77

Overall though, I love everything they did between 1970 - 1980.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

1976-77 - 4
1978-83 - 3
1983-91 - 2
1996-97 - 0

I think there should be three quintet periods, because line-up changed two times before Nursery (when you´re making two periods with same line-up). But on the other hand I really love also Trespass and even their poppy first doesn´t low my rating.
