what an awful list. why the hell are NIN (pop-industrial) and Queen (pretty much pop-rock) on a metal list? wtf man? I like NIN more than any other band on that list, but since they are not metal, my vote goes to metallica, but only up through And Justice for All (and maybe 1 or 2 songs on the black album)...

And GoldenSprial, if you're going to correct somebody's grammar, make sure yours is correct as well (forgot the apostrophe). You also didn't capitalize the first letter of each sentence.
Just kidding. Only trying to push some buttons.

I voted AC/DC, but Metallica is a close second.

I have been really digging Slipknot for the last few years so I voted for them. They were a breath of fresh air on the metal scene. And T-Rex is in no way, shape or form metal.Glam rock, and a great band,Marc Bolan was a visionary. But not metal.

Out of that absolutely terrible selection, I'm going with Slayer.
Half of them aren't even metal.
Not sure about anyone else here, but I'd prefer a little research to be done before making a poll like that again.
But hey, I'm new.

I'm gonna have to go with Megadeth on this one. Every record has atleast one song that sticks to its roots. Too bad for all of the line up changes.

Metallica and Megadeth are good, but no Dream Theater? They are metal too... you know....
