Stumbled on this one:

FOCUS Live at the Rainbow
Review (Permanent link) by Tomas @ 5:41:01 PM EST, 11/16/2004

1 stars  —  One-hit wonders ("Hocus Pocus"). This band never went anywhere, musically nor conecptually. Amazing how a career can be propped up by one song, but here it is. Truly a feat of prestidigitation (hocus pocus!)!

A (bad) review of the band, rather than the album.

KING CRIMSON - In the Court of the Crimson King (1969)
Review (Permanent link) by Maciek (Mephew) @ 6:27:30 PM EST, 7/18/2005
5 stars  —   So... It`s simply a masterpice of progressive music like Dark Side Of The Moon or Close To The Edge. I don`t know how dare people give it something less then 5 stars! The Court Of The Crimson King is one of the most important album in all music. Even though it isn`t my favourite King Crimson album, I respect it and love it. Besides, The best one I consider to be Islands). If you have`t listened this masterpice it means you do not anything about art music. Here we shall not find any filler or something like that. Every one of these five is sheer beauty. I think that talking about this album endlessly is pointless. Everything was said. Now there is nothing left but only listen this masterpice

Is this a review? and with such an intolerable aggressive attitude... I suggest it be deleted!

Thanks Seyo!

This guy has been calling me stupid from the day I wrote my review, and I never noticed it!

Must be because his point of view is so important , well thought out that nobody noticed it four some 17 months.

I shall however ask M@X to wash my honour anew!

This week's award for most skilful use of the cut and paste keys - spot the subtle difference in these two reviews. Prognosis is a plagiarist! (and his review should be removed)

EMERSON LAKE & PALMER (ELP) Brain Salad Surgery
Review (Permanent link) by Hugues Chantraine @ 7:21:17 AM EST, 2/5/2004

PROG REVIEWER

2 stars  —  2,5 stars because it is a peak in progressive rfock in its own way , but I'm not sure this is a positive way. Most ELP fans vote for this one as their fave album and it is easy to see why. Apart from the stunning fold-out artwork sleeve , there are IMO some major flaws with this album.

This is the album where ELP goes overboard as Yes did with Tales Of Topographic Ocean or Jethro Tull with A Passion Play. I believe that ELP was still faithfull to themselves as they did this album with great care but probably were too confident that they could do no wrong. But they did!!Karn Evil 9 is , of course the highlight but I find it over-long, intently difficult and relatively obtuse in purpose and self-importance - (Welcome Back My Friend To The Show That Never Ends) - surely this track never ends. I also hate the fake carrib steel drums (and if they are real , I hate them also) in the third movement. Toccata is another of the re-working the classics and Bouncer is yet another ragtime piece - Boooring!!! Actually the only thing I can still ear is the Lake-penned Still, You Turn Me On - the obvious commercial track.

Best avoid starting with this album as this might put off the newcomers. In itself this is still a classic but to me , this is not essential and rarely listen to it .

What is this ?!? The Shoot-on-Chantraine-reviews-week ?!?!?

Yup I believe this is called plagiarim and this is even worse tham paraphrasing.

But do not take it away, as this is obviously a compliment. If the man pasted my views , it probably means he agrees with every word I said.

Wow ! Re-reading my review, this is really a classic one of mine. I give my review 5* but keep the album at 2*.

PINK FLOYD Live at Pompeii (DVD)
Review (Permanent link) by Mike @ 11:04:45 PM EST, 6/15/2005

1 stars  —  Okay, let me put this as simply as possible. Put down the kool-aid and step away from the DVD player. Good. Now, go over and get Rush in Rio off the shelf and watch a real music video. Or Led Zeppelin. Or whatever you want. Just don't force anybody to sit through this masturbatory nonsense.

Are any comments really necessary?

EVERGREY The Inner Circle
Review (Permanent link) by Kevin Peterson @ 6:12:15 PM EST, 6/9/2005

2 stars  —  Are you freaking kidding me? 5 stars? WOW- i would hate to trade my cd's with any of you 5 star reviewers- Evergrey DOES NOT DESERVE 5 STARS- yes, I admit that they can catch people's attention- but after a while- the HORRID vocals catch up with you- and you ask yourself- "why am I listening to such trash?" The guy simply does not have a frontman's voice- The Music can be wonderful at times- but the singing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Well, I'm not Evergrey's fan, but this review is a piece of crap IMO
There's almost nothing about music, only something about singing... Author wrote only how much he hates this band...

GENTLE GIANT Free Hand progressive rock album and reviews GENTLE GIANT - Free Hand (1975)
Review (Permanent link) by Matt @ 1:12:07 PM EST, 7/20/2005
5 stars  —   Wow, the stars say it all, "A Masterpiece of Progressive Music!" I'm surprised these cats weren't as big as Genesis or Yes or whatever. They really take complex music and make it catchy. It's very fun and quirky, you don't need to be an advanced listener to enjoy it. My girlfriend hates most of my prog listening... this she likes.

It's not so bad, Cygnus. Could give a bit more detail about the music, but I catch his drift. Even the bit about his girlfriend is relevant. This review, when read in context with the others for the album, could be useful.

QUELLA VECCHIA LOCANDA Quella Vecchia Locanda
Review (Permanent link) by DOMINGUITO PROGRE @ 6:26:29 PM EST, 1/17/2004

5 stars  —  UN SUPER DISCO, DE LOS MEJORES ......DE ESTE SEXTETO ROMANO. LAS OCHO CANCIONES ESTAN DE AGASAJO.....LA ARMONIA DE LA MUSICA CON EL COSMOS.......MI DISCO FAVORITO...SIN DUDA, DE ROCK PROGRESIVO ATTE: MINGUITO PROGRE

QUELLA VECCHIA LOCANDA Quella Vecchia Locanda
Review (Permanent link) by Dr.Gustavo Lopez Aburto @ 1:23:29 PM EST, 1/23/2004

QUELLA VECCHIA LOCANDA Quella Vecchia Locanda
Review (Permanent link) by Alexsander Cezar Avolio @ 1:35:24 PM EST, 11/5/2004

5 stars  —  O q dizer do álbum?
