No, they are not prog, and I am not proposing they should be here.

Now that this is out of the way: I am sitting here grinning like a happy child, because one of my all-time favourite albums is finally FINALLY released on CD, and arrived today from Canada (the only country where it has been issued). I am talking about Canadian New Wave band Martha and the Muffins and their landmark album This is the ice age from the early eighties.

Anybody else familiar with this fascinating album?

Martha and the Muffins.

A fine band from Toronto where I happen to live.

Got their LP you just got on CD.I have to play it right now,just for old time sakes.

The guys have played a few gigs here in Toronto over the last 6 monts,but I could not make it.Hopefully next time.

Maybe this means a new CD soon,who knows.

Well well well..after closer inspection,this record was produced by Daniel Lanois,in 1981.

i have metro music: the guitar sound is very good, but it is not a music style i appreciate very much.

I only know the single 'Echo Beach', which is very catchy and got a lot of airplay in the UK when it came out.
