   Hi all musicians!

I don't have very much friends that play some instrument(i try to force some of them to start)

and I would be very happy if you could give me good hints in practising guitar improvisation and share your experience.

	Improvisation. The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast. All kidding aside, the essence of being a musician. The more accomplished I become as a player, the more I enjoy Improv. I am miles away from satisfied. The only suggestion I have is this; play it, man. Squire had it right "the more we try the less we fail" See you in the funny pages.

	I love improv, it's like a whole seperate entity aside from music (as a musician). I can play something, and it sounds awesome, but it doesn't get me going as much as when I really "feel" a certain section and am improvising a solo or just jammin out to something. For improv, you really have to learn the rules, know your keys, your scales, even some of the whacky ones, because you never know when you will use them. After that, when your solos start to sound boring, I look at my guitar for new arpeggios or different note patterns, and just play them over and over again, and it adds new flavor into my improv because my fingers have learned some new patterns that they are comfortable with.

	Improv can be combined with scales/arpeggio practice to make it more interesting. It's absolutely essential to musical development - Beethoven was a widely renowned and reportedly virtuosic improviser before he got seriously into composing.
