Thought some of you might be interested in this:

A good improvisation from Rick at the end, and the soft synths sound spiffy.  Well, actually, the Minimoog one comes up a little bit short, but that's just because I have Arturia's Minimoog V which is the best software emulation of the Minimoog that there is.  Worth a look anyhow!

Although it's not exactly "Six Wives" he's doing (most of it didn't do much to me), mr. Wakeman has some very nice moments here. And I found it very interesting to hear what sounds a mellotron could make. I immediately recognized that sound that Crimso sometimes used (the "sad strings") ... Thanks Syntharachnid!

I think the remains of Rick's last Melotron has seen better days, eh?  It was rash and hasty for him to burn his 'trons, but then, Rick has a reputation for being rash and hasty!  Actually, I wouldn't trust him enough to even beleive that story!  It's nice to see that he's still using minimoogs instead of software for live shows, though.  That Minimoog emulation wasn't that great.  Although I have first hand experiance with better Mini emulations, there's nothing like analog.  Hurrah Bob Moog!  (Get well soon. )

Personally I wasn't too impressed with the digital gear.  I guess the analog filters make a difference in theory.  I don't know if they are running tubes through the output stage or what?  To me it still sounded digital and not even close to the original.  Otherwise, I love Wakeman.  It wasn't him I didn't like, but the sound of the gear.  Personally I haven't heard his new album where he uses that new gear so I'm going by what I heard of the demo.  It just doesn't have that fat analog sound to me.

can't beat the analog synths (for all their technical problems) they sounded much better than digital.
