He is in the hospital and was not on this tour.  No other info is available

His replacement was more than adequate and I guess was not the first time he filled in

Great pics - shame about Flavio.  I remember reading something on the website about bronchitis, but think that should have passed by now.  I'll go and check again when the entry was made, as they actually cancelled an Italian show because of it.  If he's out for the whole tour it would be a shame, as he is a key component of the sound, with both his playing and his voice.

I see Franz is still doing his frontman act - drumsticks sticking out everywhere, and loony dancing - like your embarrassing drunken grandad at a wedding!  He's such an amazing drummer and he's totally wasted out front.  If he craves the limelight so much, they should just stick his kit at the front of the stage.  Still, its PFM, and they just sound great anyway.  Wish I'd been there.

This was the announcement from the guys at Nearfest regarding it and his replacement. Tagliavini was very good btw:

Flavio Premoli has taken ill and will not be doing the tour. Gianluca Tagliavini will be the keyboard player for the North and South American shows, including the Progressive Legends Showcase in Bethlehem, PA on July 8th. Premoli was taken to the hospital last week and will be under doctor's care for about two months. He is expected to make a full recovery. We certainly wish him well.

Gianluca is the "official" replacement for Premoli and is also in an ELP cover band called FOG. They recently conceived a tribute album and Gianluca's dazzling keys work can be sampled here,
http://www.elptribute.it/home.htm Rest assured, he is more than an able replacement and the PFM tour should be quite amazing.

Yes, he did a great job with PFM... not a glitch in their show...

Now on to Saturday:

Started off with a band from Norway called "Wobbler"

Next:  Frogg Cafe from the USA

Next:  A band from Belgium called "Present" (strangest band I've ever heard)

And to end the night:  IQ

IQ actually did a great performance... altho I hear they didn't think so. There was some problems with the sound equipment all weekend, but personally it was so much better than the last time I saw them at Progeny in London a couple of years ago, I'm not complaining at all.

God, these pics look so tasty, I have to go there next year. I always wanted to do a tour of New England  to see some of these mythical places Cooper described like Susqehanna Valley. Prog &Cooper!

Fantastic pics as ever 3F. They all looked as though they were have a ball up on stage.
