 Topic: Where do you buy your music?

I was curious if a majority of you buy music online or in the stores. I know a lot of the cd's that are discussed on this site aren't known by a majority of the public and thus are harder to find. But just a reference so I know where to find things easier. If you go to a particular store such as fye or borders/barnes and noble, that would be appreciated.

definetly not online,
i shop around at the local mowl, i will by a cd from this great shop where every thing is cheap and imported so they rap them in plastic so they are in mint condission.
secondly i go to another store, ussualy i wont buy them if there full price but if the range is good enough i'll probebly get sucked in and get somthing thats hard to find.

by the way you can still find a lot of hard to get stuff but not in the most popular stores, mainly the good stuffs hidden in other stores in the out scerts of shoping centers

I usually shop around the mall, best buy, or local used music shops.
I've only gotten something online once..but I'm having a harder time finding stuff. I can't find any King Crimson anywhere. Not even the brand new re-release of Red. I'll probably have to start doing some online buying.

wooden nickel, a local or national record store that sells a lot of 70's prog like gentle giant, yes, zappa and such and some neo-prog and prog-metal.

The record stores around here don't have much of the music I like, so I
have to buy most of it on line. I try to buy right from the band
so they get more of the money.

I get all mine in shops, you know the usual sort of mass marketed ones like HMV, musicworld
Except there is a great one, which im still discovering called BIG
JOHNS, its one of those nice privately owned one. I like it coz they
say when they think something is crap ie - the toilet in the corner
with "sh*t tapes" in it, or the poster on the floor telling you to wipe
your feet on it of rappers, popstars (last time i went it was xzibit
who does "pimp my ride"), and I LOVE that the rap section is about the
length on my arms wide open (not even)

A good majority of the records I own I have purchased from a small,
local store. They have atleast five thousand vinyl records all over the
place so I just search through them and find stuff I like or have heard
good things about. Many good King Crimson, Genesis and Yes finds. All
on vinyl and most in excellent condition. Besides that I usually burn
it if it is very hard to find or buy it on CD if it is more popular.
