A 'Prog-Lite' guilty pleasure of mine, which STUPER-TRAMP album do you turn to most oftenest?
For me, it's "Crime of the Century", not a weak moment on the entire
album, and the wife doesn't throw her footwear at me when I listen to
it (unlike most of the other albums in my collection)

Even In The Quietist Moments. Fool`s Overture is my favourite Supertramp track.

Really like EITQM: The tune "Even in the Quietest Moments" and "Fool's OVerture" are excellent, though "Crisis" had some excellent tunes as well "Sister Moonshine" for example. I preferred Roger Hodgson's stuff generally, but Rick Davies had excellent tunes as well. But, like a lot of other artists, when Hodgson went off on his own, he never regained the quality of the Supertramp stuff.

Crime of the Century is the strongest album in terms of the sheer amount of good songs on it. Even In the Quietest Moments contains their proggiest track " Fool's Overture," and is my second fave overall. The most underrated is probably their first, pretty good for a debut.

"Crime Of The Century". Although that's the only one I own, so I'm not too sure.

Hi Everybody,
No matter if there are some people that hate them or do not consider them prog. To this people:!
I love their sound, I love both voices (Roger and Rick), I think his drummer is great. And I consider "Crime of the Century" one of the greatest albuns ever done.
Well, this is my opinion !
Best Regards...

Breakfast in america, crime of the century, crisis? what crisis?, and even in the quietest moments are all great. I have to go with crime though.

Crime of the Century is an essential lp to anyone's collection. Even in the Quietest moments is good as well.

Just a sidenote, somebody should send in some more Supertramp mp3s. There's only one available on their page and it's a piano ballad, not very representative of their sound. Anyway, back to the topic...

Crime of course .
But Brother, Moments and the debut are tied for second.

Well the only album I've heard from them is "Crime of the century" and
I think it's great but I need to get my hands on those other albums
before I can vote.

Hey, I also voted for Crime, but let me tell you that you have an extremely violent wife: my wife doesn't throw anything at me, but softly allures me plugging the headphones and putting them on my ears... sexy...
But yes, she can stand Supertramp.

Close call between "Crime..." and "Even..." - but "Breakfast..." has a lot going for it too.

But what about "Endelibly Stamped",their second album? It was left out of the poll so Cluster seems unaware of it's existance. It's not as good as "Crime...." obviously, but better than the first one with some very proggy moments,as well as some rather weird ones. They hadn't settled on a direction yet so it sounds very fragmented, they even went for a Zeppelin/Purple type of heavy rock on a track called "Potter",Supertramp the hard rock band, good thing they decided against going in that direction! But it has some gems, especially "Rosie Had Everything Planned" a beautiful ballad with lyrics so surreal the band didn't even know what it was about! There's a very long, very proggy track called "Aries" which is mostly improvised, very uncharacteristic for Supertramp who were very meticulous about everything they recorded. On "Aries" they loosen their collars and just jam, which sounds selfindulgent on paper, but the result is pretty good. Well worth getting if you're a Supertramp fan.

Nah I know about it, but don't own it. I didn't put down ALL their
albums, just what I thought would be popular, that's why I included an
'Other' selection

I didn't notice the "other" section until I had sent off the reply.
