Wizard/TRueStar
Every Floyd's a masterpiece in its own right. They won my vote a long time ago.
Icannot fault any floyd album upto ''final cut'' i do have reservations for 'another brick' track from the wall..

lol, the thread is about "comparing" genesis, yes and floyd. Of course he votes for his fav. band. You mentioned ELP in EVERY thread, no matter what it was about, there's quite a difference.

Since the phrase used is "pleasurable listening experience," I had to go with Genesis. I love Yes, but they tend to be a bit more "hyper" than Genesis, who are generally (I said "generally...)more mellow. I also love PF, but they tend to be a bit more "heady" than Genesis, who are generally (I said "generally"...) more "lyrical."
Ultimately, an impossible choice. But if forced to make one, Genesis it is...
Peace.

Tuxon-
Nick Mason on Drums, Richard Wright on Keyboard.
And Gabriel is far ahead of Jon Anderson for vocals!

Plant,
The first , was to emphasise their insignificance.
The second, that's a matter of opinion, I prefer Jon Anderson, Gabriel is to derivative of Fish for that matter.

Two unasked provocations from the same member, and I still refuse to answer him. As I promissed to the members I will avoid this problems.
Thanks Joren BebbieM, Rob & Tuxon

I suppose it is hard to tell sarcasm on the internet. I was doing the same. Nick Mason is an underestimated drummer in my opinion, and Richard Wright, well maybe you're right about him, but it's too bad he didn't get to sing enough. Keyboard was important in a lot of Floyd music, just not as prominant as the other instruments. As for Gabriel, Fish is derivitive of Gabriel, and there's still a noticable difference I would say. Jon Anderson annoys me after a while.

Only kidding!
I wouldn't put Yes onto the same register as "best" anything when it comes to their music .
