Topic: Best DT keyboardist Posted: February 08 2004 at 15:53 |
Personnally, I hesitate between Kevin and Jordan. I'm fond of Derek's work in Planet X, and also Jordan's solo work, especially on 'Feeding the wheel'. Kevin's soloing brought within DT a breath of fresh air in their music, but Jordan is much more virtuosic and achieves a fantastic work, especially on '6doit', despite the fact that he is less astonishing than on his solo works.

They're all good but I've been impressed with Lana Lanes husband Erik Norlander lately. Since he's not an option I'll go with Rudess

I felt sorry for Kevin, so I voted for him. I really like the OSI venture, as well as Chroma Key.

Sherinian for me - I find Rudess too clinical (suited Bowies last album well, though)

Ever since I saw the Metropolis 2000 DVD, I've loved Rudess' virtuso keyboarding work. other than him, Moore is an excellent choice

Jordan Rudess is the best. Derek was a really bad choice. I think that Kevin did a great job in Images & Words and Awake. Songs like "Wait for Sleep" and "Space-dye Vest" are trully beautiful.

Jordan Rudess. Although I did really like Kevin Moore.
I kinda feel sorry for Derek Sherenian though. Although I'm a fan of his, I feel like he never belonged in Dream Theater. Like he was just a void or summit.
