what keyboards?

   hi all, any body know what  keyboards were used by mike ratledge and dave stewart to get that searing lead sound?? not a synth i dont think but some kind of distorted organ sound? i dont know the answer meself and its been bothering me for ages as im trying to replicate it on a yamaha cs1x.! any help greatly appreciated
