Aye. It's rather a "boisterous" mix. With the exception of Ozric Tentacles and parts of Taal, it's a relentlessly loud, jazzy and complex mix. Bloody good fun to belt out your speakers whilst doodling or scribbling ideas for a play, as I was earlier today.

Nero Burning Rom, for example have a fascility to burn over 80 minutes. It doesnt always work though and depends on your hardware and your blanks I guess. They do warn that it could damage you're burner, but I think they are just covering themselves in case it does happen.
it didn't damage mine though as I have overburned succesfully!

If I was to use a DVD-disc, only for music, can that be done, if so how, and how much time will the disc support?

just curious, since I only occasionaly burn music

And play it in a DVD player? I don't know if it can be done, I don't have a DVD burner yet, but I guess it would be like 5 CDs on one disc.

Can be done but not all players will play it.

Amazingly, the cheaper the player the more universally compatible they tend to be!

You look like you have interesting tastes, Trouserpress.   What do you consider the ten best modern prog albums to be, since 1990?

Mine would be (in no particular order):

U Totem - self-titled

Thinking Plague - In Extremis

Devil Doll - Sacriligium

Opeth - Still Life

Ozric Tentacles - Curious Corn

Deus Ex Machina - De Republica

Karmakanic - Wheel of Life

Mr Bungle - California

5UUs - Hungers Teeth

Anglagaard - Epilog

Tough one... I'll give it a shot though:

5uu's - Hunger's Teeth
Anglagard - Hybris (I used to like Epilog more, but these days I prefer Hybris, despite the vocals)
After Crying - Megalázottak és Megszomorítottak
Alamaailman Vasarat - Vasaraasia/Käärmelautakunta
Deus Ex Machina - Cinque
Flower Kings - Unfold the Future
French TV - The Violence of Amateurs
Guapo - Five Suns
Höyry-Kone - Huono Parturi
Isuldur's Bane - MIND Vol. 1
Mr Bungle - Disco Volante (California doesn't quite cut the mustard)
Ruins - Symphonica
Samla Mammas Manna - Kaka
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - Of Natural History
Taal - Skymind

Okay, so that's 15. Never mind. Ask me next week and you'd get a different list anyway!

I was the other way around.  Liked the flashiness of Hybris to begin with, but grew to appreciate the maturity of Epilog more.

Quote After Crying - Megalázottak és Megszomorítottak

What about 6?

Quote Flower Kings - Unfold the Future

I can't make up my mind about the Flower Kings.  Don't know whether I like them or not.    They're a strange one.

Quote French TV - The Violence of Amateurs

This one doesn't work for me.  I find it a bit ... amateurish.

Quote Höyry-Kone - Huono Parturi
Isuldur's Bane - MIND Vol. 1
Mr Bungle - Disco Volante (California doesn't quite cut the mustard)
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - Of Natural History

Yes, fine albums.

Quote Alamaailman Vasarat - Vasaraasia/Käärmelautakunta

Guapo - Five Suns

Ruins - Symphonica

Taal - Skymind

Never heard of them.  Will check them out.   Thanks.

The whole time thing makes me queasy, but here goes;

1) King Crimson-three Of A Perfect Pair (Album)
2) David Torn-Bust My Ass For Thinking (from "Tripping Over God")
3) King Crimson-Indiscipline (from "Discipline")
4) Eno-Music For Airports
5) Gentle Giant-Pantagruel's Nativity (from "Octopus")
6) Rush-The Trees (from "Hemispheres")
7) Yes-Big Generator (from "Big Generator")
8) Yes-Into The Lens (from "Drama")
9) Genesis-The Fountain of Salmacis (from "Nursery Cryme")
10)  Frank Zappa-Willie The Pimp (forgot if its from "Hot Rats" or "Shut Up And Play Yer Guitar")
11) Polytown-Snail Hair Dune (from "Polytown-Torn, Karn and Bozzio")
12) King Crimson-Thrak (from "Thrak")

All burned in .ogg format of course, because proprietary software sucks. This list makes for a great afternoon of "difficult listening" wherever musical ignorance needs ot be stamped out!!!
