I ended up going with Siouxsie & The Banshees over Cocteau Twins. I also like Echo and the Bunnymen and The Police here.

By the way, this is the first entry for Wire in this series of polls, having crept in under the wire. They're a late replacement for The Smiths who only recorded four studio albums, and heaven knows Morrissey is miserable now after The Smiths dropped out without winning any of the previous four Post-Punk polls. Cry

That Wire album sounds a lot like New Order. 'The King and Queen of Um' is a great track.

Some great albums in these Post-punk polls, my favourite genre of music after prog of course. Very difficult to make a choice out of your lists.

Is your Disco blog now redundant Paul?  I love a bit of disco music! Smile

I'm probably going to be voting for U2 in most of these Post-Punk polls (including this one), apart from when their Pop album comes along, obviously. Smile

To be honest, I wasn't a fan of Wire's punkish early albums, but I'm all wired for sound with their fifth album, which sounds surprisingly good. Surprising to me, anyway. Tongue

My Boogie Wondeland Disco blog is only temporarily redundant, having been busy with one or two other blogs, but summer's on its way, so I think it's time for some Endless Summer. Wink

Night Time is the right time for Killing Joke's best album so far, and that's no joke. Smile
