^ mission accomplished! But of course this was bound to happen, as this thread pits old versus new. I can sort of see your point except for the "intellectualism" part, don't hear that on HCE. But the upcoming SW release is all about that, so you should have a field day with it!

Anyway, this "bust facing sideways" type of cover is one of the biggest clichés not only in prog but in rock in general.

In terms of execution, covers of HEC and Seven really don't have much in common (beyond the fact that they both depict facial profiles) since the HEC cover is a combination of photography and paint application, while the cover of Seven is entirely painted illustration; the HEC sleeve design doesn't feature the album title and band name, while the Seven does.
