Two masterpieces from 1978.

You can only choose one.

Oof. Love both. UK today. Next week it could be Rush.

UK, but these are from different musical worlds.

Sort of similar if you paired Return to Forever "Romantic Warrior" to Spock's Beard "V".

Two from 1978. I don't often vote for Rush in polls, but in this case I do. And Hemispheres has been very important album to me, particular as a teenager. It has been many years since I last tried UK, but it did not connect with me.

A 1978 pairing that could work fairly well perhaps is National Health's self-titled 1978 debut and UK's debut.   Although a different year, maybe throw in Hatfield and the North. Just an idea. Associations will vary. :) I have no problem with the pairing as is. :)

I consider one of these a masterpiece. Rush for sure.

I warm up to Rush a lot more when they get to the 80's. The UK debut is an interesting album but maybe let down on the production side a bit. Eddie Jobson is one of the great keyboard talents. By this time he had played in Curved Air and Roxy Music as well as very brief stint on Frank Zappa's band but was still only about 21-22 years old. Insane when you consider Keith Emerson was 26 before he formed ELP. Voted UK.

Rush
