Thanks to everyone who took part in the poll. No surprise that my favourite Soft Machine album: Land of Cockayne, didn't even make it into the final Top 10, never mind the Top 7. Tongue

You're not the only one. I went out shopping wearing a pair of thermal gloves yesterday, but came back without them and having no idea where I'd left them. Embarrassed

The Wyatt years were the best. They gradually became a jazz then jazz fusion band and I lost interest. Wyatt probably felt the same since he left
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

The 4 albums from Third to Six are by far the best.

I never got to see them in their prime but I bought Triple Echo on release back in 77.  I have now seen them three times since 2019!  Anyway, their first five albums should be in there but not because their other albums are 'bad' as such.  If I was to take the rest I would make a case for 'Hidden Details' and 'Softs'.
