^ Had I made this poll like the 2023 one, which I think a better approach, the Sleepytime Gorilla museum album would have taken a prominent place in this poll.
My particular choices are all not only voteless but commentless thus far, but then I know my favourites commonly don't align very much with the tastes of most at PA. Nothing wrong with that, there's room for all sorts of niches here. :) |

Not sure if I can spot yours (I know 1 for sure) but Tapir, Beth Gibbons & Tigran Hamasyan would all be in the list for possible votes. I came late to the last 2 and still getting to know them. |

The second half of the list is my current top 12 (or 13 since there are two The Smiles) at Awesome Prog. Most are not in PA and so won't count for the actual AOTY event. I really do think I'll really like the Sleepytime and Present with more spins. Just a few days to go until the submissions part of the AOTY event concludes. My choices... Beth Gibbons - Lives Outgrown Godspeed You! Black Emperor - "No Title as of 13 Feb..." The Smile - Wall of Eyes OR Cutouts Tapir! - The Pilgrim Julia Holter - Something in the Room She Moves Kimbanourke - Binjari St. Vincent - All Born Screaming samlrc - A Lonely Sinner Tigran Hamasyan - The Bird of a Thousand Voices Mount Eerie - Night Palace Mount Kimbie The Sunset Violent Xiu Xiu - 13" Frank Beltrame Italian Stiletto with Bison Horn Edited by Logan - 20 hours 9 minutes ago at 20:38 |

My top three were albums by Pond, Yang, and Into the Glasshouse. The order is interchangeable. From the list, Present, Compassionizer, The Smile, and Tigran Hamasyan are in my top 20 or so. Still rate last year higher. Also coming in late is the album by Vylet Pony. A few tracks are just okay to me, but the two long tracks really stand out as among the best tracks of the year.

I mentioned somewhere that I hoped to have my list done by March, but that's looking more like May. Oh spring!
So I just went with my favourite from your list and that's Present over Greco Bastian. |

Nice. After the results are in I will be looking closer at individuals lists. Somehow I have not wanted people's lists to affect me very much when it comes to PA's Album of the Year exhibitions. That said, I have peeked at some lists, including yours. It was in part because of you that I checked out the Tigran. And why I checked out the Present and Sleepytime (well, due to your comments). That's good stuff to listen to in the right headspace and mood for me.
I definitely have some serious listening to do. SInce you brought up Vylet Pony, I'm listening to "Sludge" right now and loving it! Awesome. Thanks for mentioning it. :) It really hits my sweet spots.
I wish I had until Spring or summer to refine my list. I realise that I still have plenty of serious listening to to feel at all ready for this. That said, i know my list will never be definitive. I will keep on coming across great-for-me-stuff from this year and many years to come if things go reasonably well.
And I have yet to listen to that. So much music, so many years, so little time. And I'm one of those who does not want to listen to music every day (I'm a freak), but on those days I do (most days) it can be such bliss, such an emotional and such a joyous ride. Vote if you have a favourite if those three or want to mention an other. More interesting to me than if you voted is what those three albums are and if you have a favourite from the year. You know me, more interested in the commentary and a details oriented guy. :) But more than that, just follow your heart in whatever you do here if you can, I suggest. Thanks with whatever you decide.

^ The three albums are:
Believe - The Wyrding Way Opeth - The Last Will and Testament Godspeed You! Black Emperor - "No Title as of 13 Feb..." The GY!BE album is the most interesting, I will give it a vote.
