My friend George Mizer posted this on Facebook:

With great sadness I have to announce the passing of our dear friend Colin Carter he passed away today Jan 10 2025 at 7:59AM PT. Pete and Colin are once again together... Storming Along

Colin was the vocalist for Flash, and he recorded some amazing solo music in his final years!

A true Cornish gentleman, he shall be missed.

Very sad to hear the news of Colin Carter's passing.  I was lucky enough to work with him for 5 years and record the last Flash album with him.   He was a kind soul, very connected to his music/work/family/life.
He was a good spirit.   He was a good man.   My condolences to his friends and family.   The world was a better place with him in it.

Hi,

I find it all kinda sad ... FLASH was not great, but was actually very nice, and somehow, never really got a good chance because it was always thought to copy a style from the bigger band ... makes you wonder who really brought that style to the front, doesn't it?

The past few years, have been sad in this area, with Sherry (not sure that was her name) trying hard to help the band get acknowledged, and I think that the rest of the members and her kinda decided to just do their thing and if it happened it happened and if not it didn't happen ... and while that is a tried and true life of an artist, in many ways it also hurts a lot of the work so many folks do ... but we think it's an art, of folks sacrifice themselves for the art of it all ... never mind the family or the children!

At my age, I see a lot of the folks we love dearly fall away and leave, and one day, I will also leave and join them ... and the way with the words, often fails me with emotion that is hard to explain, a thought from the outer reaches of the universe kind of thing ... and if I could a poem would come, or something else, nice to say ... but often all I can do is lower my head, and think of the time and moments I enjoyed listening to that artist ... and FLASH was one of these ... even though, originally I bought the album for the cover that was in my wall for many years ... but I never thought that the music was not worth it, when compared to the Umanatons of the planet Mars.

I like to say, that I pay respects with the same silence that they are now giving us ... and that quietness has a sound and touch that is special for me ... I wish I could write about it better.
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
