For those who don't use Facebook, I'll quote what he said about the album here: "Hobson's Choice started this, our second album, back in Fall 1999. We'd played at least five or so "debut" gigs after the release of our first CD "New Horizons". These ongoing debuts were largely because we spent months rehearsing and preparing for singular gigs it always seemed like we had to reintroduce ourselves to an audience. In the ongoing years after tracking there were many changes. I briefly lived and worked in NYC but returned in 2002, and even during that time I was flying in to overdub keyboard parts… we retracted several songs. Things, however, slowed down as we started taking on other musical commitments and after Katrina there was a lost year or so just trying to get "home" again. But eventually we circled back to continue the work on the album. Sometime around 2009 we were ready to mix it, but new obstacles were waiting - this time it was the 1970s 3M M79 24 track 2" tape deck that broke down - after only one songs worth tape had been mixed. This problem was not easily fixed. We were unable to find a company that could fix the logic circuit in question, and this issue dragged on for several years before we started to consider simply bringing the tapes to another studio. But that too, ended up going nowhere. Richard had long spoken of finding a location that he could parley (he was one to barter and trade when necessary) his skills and our needs, but time kept on slipping away and, after a while, I personally confess that I simply stopped caring - it had taken so long that I’d simply lost my way. It wasn't until the initial months of lockdown 2020 when I started going through my rough mix cds from the recording sessions that I started to see the album in it's entirety again. So I sketched a montage of what I had - including the several particularly long songs which we'd chosen to record in fragmented sections. The only thing that was missing was Richard's final guitar solos, and vocals. After I had my twin boys in 2013, I wasn't able to spend as much time w/ Richard as I once had and to be honest, he was going through changes as well. I then got a phone call from a mutual friend that changed everything. I called Richard immediately and we talked about his health concerns. He spoke optimistically about his treatment and his desire to face this head on if it might only give him a year or two more of life. When I brought up releasing the album as-is with polished up rough mixes, he was in enthusiastic and in agreement that it was the best way to "get the album out" - he said he had the last rough mix cd with his finished tracks and he'd copy it for me… I texted him a week later when I worried it might have gotten lost in the mail, but he assured me he would mail it the next day. It never arrived. Richard was briefly hospitalized and passed away on Oct 4, 2020. After several months I approached Joel to discuss the option of sending the tapes to Nashville to get them digitized and tho it meant not sticking to our all-analog philosophy, we should nonetheless proceed to get the multitracks and properly mix the album. I've known Richard since I was 18 years old - and I can honestly say when I started working with these tracks I wasn't only listening the to recorded sounds but listening and leaving myself open for his guidance. I considered that one significance of our friendship might well have been to prepare me for this endeavor. I spent the better part of the next year sending tapes off one or two at a time to get transferred and then once I got the WAV files back I'd start editing and mixing the songs… Richard really shines on this - his guitar playing and vocals - I was uniquely aware of what we were after and I took it as far as I could before I simply had to let it go. Thanks to Steve Daffner for listening and to Mike Hogan for mastering. Lu Rojas also greatly helped realize this album by sharing a recent recording of Richard playing "Richard II" on nylon stringed acoustic… I'd asked Lu after getting the tracks to look into removing any fade outs on the last chord so that I might be able to use the ringing out of the last chord for as long as possible. When I got the revised audio I was shocked to hear him say at the very very end of the chord dying out, "eh, I made a bunch of mistakes". I know I’ve bottled up quite a lot to get to this moment so perhaps now I can release it properly and have a really ugly cry." Album page on PA: https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=76938. Album on Bandcamp: https://hobsonschoice.bandcamp.com/album/in-case-of-second-sight. David Stocker said in a comment to that Facebook post that they had a limited run of 300 CDs pressed, many of which they would be giving out to family and friends. Edit: According to the Wayback Machine's capture of the Audiophile Studios website on 26th May 2006 (the earliest working link saved for the site at web.archive.org), Hobson's Choice were still working on their second album there, so I presume recordings were still being made. They were still apparently working on it on 10th January 2008 too, but seem to have finished at Audiophile by March 16th 2008. I guess the only thing we can say with any accuracy then is: "recorded between the fall of 1999 and the spring of 2008". That ties in nicely with David Stocker's statement in his Facebook post that: "Sometime around 2009 we were ready to mix it".

^ I think for us it would be enough to use info from this page.
I've added the lines: The band said in 2022: “This is our second album. Formal recording began in the Fall of 1999, but it has remained unmixed and unreleased till now. This album is dedicated to the memory of Richard Bird III. Thank you.“ To Per Kohler: Please give in future links to the albums and, when necessary (like in case of HOBSON'S CHOICE "In Case of Second Sight" album), links confirming your info. ^ We cannot know your sources if you don't point them out.
Then David and I found out that your source was not quite correct. I think it's obvious that only verified info helps to improve the site.

As far as I can tell, if it's possible to use mobile phone for visiting web sites, then it's possible to copy texts (including links) by using smartphones. It's less convenient than with PC or laptop, but anyway possible.
