Branduardi and Banco live in the Italian State TV auditorium (1977)-

I attended a gig of Branduardi's tour in 1977...it makes me quite nostalgic

Been listening to this; it's wonderful. Really loved L'oumo e le Novola, and Il Ragno sounds sooo Magma/Zeuhl to me, love it.

I was a young child when this came out (I'm not quite as old as some think, which is like 100), but even his hair takes me back.

I was actually 15yo. I have a lot of memories, good and bad, tied to those songs. I stil play Confessioni di un Malandrino on my guitar, sometimes.

Wow, Profondo Rosso, too. I takethe opportunity to tell some trivia about it.

The movie director Dario Argento wanted the Deep Purple for the soundtrack, this is the origin of the title as "Profondo Rosso" can be translated as "Deep Purple". 
Claudio Simonetti, the keyboardist was actually reharsing in studio with his band. They had previously played on the soundtrack of "Gamma", a TV serial whose soundtrack was written by Enrico Simonetti, jazz pianist and composer (and also Claudio's father).
One of the Argebto's crew members assisted to the reharsals and when Deep Purple declined the offer he pointed Claudio's band to Dario Argento.

This is how Goblin had birth

In Italy, everything was (is) sophisticated, even when it comes to old black-and-white TV programs. So, in 1972, PFM made a cool appearance on Italian television.

Goblin certainly was better for Argento's film work than a heavy rock band like Deep Purple ever could be!

Premiata Forneria Marconi performing live "La carrozza di Hans" in Lucio Battisti's show "Tutti Insieme" in 1971. It's a song from the A-side of their second 7-inch single, released the same year.

The girl introducing "Nuova Idea" is Mina. The greatest Italian vocalist of all times. Unfortunately, apart of some songs with Lucio Battisti, she has never practiced prog.

Okay, technically this one is color, but it's old enough to be B/W and fits the theme well of old TV.
