RIP to Jim Abrahams, part of the Zucker, Abrahams, and Zucker team that created films like Airplane! and The Naked Gun. He was 80.

I read now of Jon Camp. Just two days ago I was relistening to Sheherazade. Cry
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Baseball hall-of-famer and legendary base stealer Rickey Henderson passed away at the age of 65. I have his rookie card in my baseball card collection. RIP.

I'm rather shocked to learn Mikhail Chekalin, a pioneering underground prog-electronic composer, passed away days ago, just after Christmas (and half a year after we approved him over at PSIKE):

The amazing Bob Uecker, at the age of 90.

His Hall of Fame Induction speech is legendary:

John Sykes. Such a great and fluid guitarist and strong vocalist, too. Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, and Blue Murder. He influenced an entire generation of guitar players with interesting riffs and melodic music. Rest in peace.

Loved The Band. Garth's primal organ intro on "Chest Fever" (1968) is straight from the Jon Lord school of Heavy Hammondisms.
