add CARAVAGGIO as crossover group?

HELLO,

Just to know if CARAVAGGIO must be selected in crossover( or metal  progressive) or (Progressive rock)  group?
CARAVAGGIO has been playing music off the beaten track since 2004 between rock, early cinematic and jazzy atmosphere; uninhibited hybrid music sometimes called Mediterranean progressive hard. You know my aversion to drawers, I would personally say inventive progressive psyche-cinematic music given the classical and jazzy origins of two composers. Album go out on 10 June 2022

Hi, 

Caravaggio has been suggested to Neo-prog. We have the impression that it falls out of neo-prog when it goes folk and were thinking about moving it to RPI. Now I read here about Xover. Let me speak to the team.

You'll have to be patient, it's one of those cases of a band that will take a while to find a place here.

The person whose vote Keishiro was waiting for in the post above left the team shortly afterwards, and the RPI team now only has two members, both of whom have previously voted 'yes', so it seems to me that the band is cleared in RPI. I think we just need a biography and an artist photo, and I expect the addition would then be carried out.

Plagiarism-free basis of a possible biography:

Caravaggio is a Mediterranean progressive rock band which was created in 2015 by former Adramelch members Vittorio Ballerio (vocals) and Fabio Troiani (guitar), and which takes its name from the most important painter of their home city of Milan, in Lombardy, Italy.

Guitarist Fabio Troiani found that his compositions no longer fitted the prog metal style of his band Adramelch, so he and the band's vocalist Vittorio Ballerio set out in search of a new direction and were soon joined by Marco Melloni on bass (previously the bassist for former Vanadium singer Pino Scotto's solo project) and Alessio Del Ben on drums (who is also the drummer of another Rock Progressivo Italiano band called Quel Che Disse Il Tuono, and for a short period was the drummer with Wotan) to complete the quartet. 

In June 2018, Caravaggio entered the studio to begin recording the rhythm tracks for their debut album. They were later joined in the recording sessions by a keyboard player, a percussionist, and an accordion player. German musician Guido Block, who also recorded and produced the last Adramelch album, was lined up to take care of production, and in November 2019, the debut single 'Before My Eyes' was released.

However, mainly as a result if the Covid-19 pandemic, the self-titled debut album itself wasn't completed and released until June 2022, and featured a number of significant guests, including Courtney Swain, the vocalist of Bent Knee.

In February 2023 Serhan Kazaz joined the band on guitar, bouzouki and and vocals, and in November 2023 Piero 'BlackBass' Chiefa (Holy Shire, Carmine Capasso, among others) officially became the band's new bass player. During live concerts Simona Aileen Pala (vocals) and Tiziano Chiapelli (accordion) often perform with the band as guests.

Finally, in late December 2024 after ages spent searching for a permanent accordionist, the band found Stefano Spitale, a knowledgeable professional pianist and accordionist who is already working with them on some new compositions.
