I'm down, though you might want to consider San Diego or Orange County.  Wonder if we can hook up with any of the Indian casinos?  Some of them have great concert venues.
Wine Country a little further north is a good idea as well.  LA is a bit crowded.

So far, I am not seeing any prog shows that I want to see within an hour. I was fortunate last year that Swans and BEAT came through Richmond. King Gizzard were in town and couldn't make it. They were playing an outdoor show on a Wednesday at 90 plus degrees in August starting at 6.

The only show for this year I am planning on is Brass Against. Though not prog, will be a lot of fun and not during the week. It seems like most bands I want to see don't play weekend shows around here. Richmond is like a stopover.
