These are 25 of my usual kinds of suspects included in Prog Archives (ergo, this would be boring to many). By the way, David Bowie's Blackstar turns 9 years old from date of release today. and I still consider it be a masterpiece and a hugely remarkable achievement.

Vote for up to five of these if you can, and mention in a post. Or more if you really want. :)

black midi - Hellfire (2022)
David Bowie - Blackstar (2016)
Ciśnienie - The Brass Album (2020)
Richard Dawson - Peasant (2017)
William D. Drake - The Rising of the Lights (2011)
Electric Orange - Volume 10 (2014)
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - 'Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend! (2012)
Anna von Hausswolff - The Miraculous (2015)
Kayo Dot - Coyote (2010)
Kikagaku Moyo - House in the Tall Grass (2016)
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - Polygondwanaland (2017)
Kosmischer Läufer - Volume Three (2015)
Motorpsycho & Ståle Storløkken - The Death Defying Unicorn (2012)
North Sea Radio Orchestra - I a Moon (2011)
Oneohtrix Point Never - Garden of Delete (2015)
Guillaume Perret & The Electric Epic - S/T (2012)
PoiL Ueda - Yosh*tsune (2023)
Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool (2016)
The Smile - Wall of Eyes (2024)
Sprain - The Lamb as Effigy (2023)
Squid - O Monolith (2023)
Susanne Sundfør - Ten Love Songs (2015)

For those of you who use AP polls, the decade polls can be convenient to build your favorites list: https://awesomeprog.com/release-polls/ap/aotd-2010/vote

I haven't listened to most of these properly (meaning: more than one or two times), but for the time being my vote goes to Black Midi and Squid ...

David Bowie, Cisnienie, William D. Drake, that's three votes already spent in the first five. Let's look further down, OK, I a Moon and Glowing Man have to be voted for, which leaves no vote for Squid, Sprain, Motorpsycho, Electric Orange and many others. Sorry!

Polygondwanaland is amazing!

Blackstar is similarly great.

The Miraculous is very cool, too.

Five is hard. For today:

David Bowie
North Sea Radio Orchestra
Kikagaku Moyo
Swans

...and oh thee smiling psycho heads of dotted speeding lizards...

...settling on Squid for my fifth.

I can certainly go for the 'big hitters' Bowie, Black Midi and Radiohead but there is a lot I don't know tbh.
