For anyone who's missing the old emoticons that used to be towards the bottom of the emoticons panel, and would like to use them again without messing about with URLs and BBCode, you can save the images as shown below to your computer or phone, rename them to something memorable to yourself, and then upload them to your PA file manager to be drawn upon from there via the 'Insert Image' utility in the full reply editor whenever you want to use them. Smile

The nine additional emoticons weren't available for very long. According to the Wayback Machine, it was just the current 42 emoticons that we still have now up until sometime around 2009/2010, when it seems the headbanger first appeared (probably in October 2008, when the forum software was upgraded from v9.06 to v9.53), and the other eight had appeared by August 2011 (most likely in November 2010, when the forum software was upgraded from v9.53 to v9.69). Sadly we lost all nine of them again not too long afterwards, this most likely to have been in October 2014 when the forum software was upgraded from version 9.69 to 11.01.

Web Wiz actually updated the RTE_popup_emoticons.asp file in Version 10.12 of their software (23rd August 2012) to allow the RTE Editor to fully function when using SSL, so that's most likely to be the time when those last nine emojis would have disappeared from the emoticon panel in any new installations of the software, but we wouldn't have been affected here until M@X installed version 11.01 in October 2014.
.
The old 'Ping' gif that was part of this additional set of nine is no longer available even on the Wayback Machine. I don't think it was very exciting though - just the word itself in a rectangular frame iirc.

I'd hate to say, but I find animated emoticons really distracting and I'm kinda glad the ones you linked were removed from this website's pool of default features. Heck, I even have the current animated emoticons on PA ad-blocked for that reason. :|

All thanks to you for mentioning the headbanger guy in another thread. I'd forgotten all about these old emoticons. Smile

The rasta was nice. A non-animated versione would be fine

the last 5 on the right came from two french-speaking forums that I guided M@X to.

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword
