Moving on to 2001, it is Transatlantic for me this time.

I think this poll could upset me a bit. I expect Transatlantic will win by a landslide but this is the very definition of 'cookie cutter' prog and for me is so dull. I love Neal Morse's solo records from the 00's but cannot abide this so called supergroup that have garnered way too much praise over the years IMO. I voted for Par Lindh and his own very unique take on the symphonic prog genre. Sadly the band had to pack it in a few years later when lead singer and violinist Magda Hagberg became terminally ill. The 3 PLP albums (I can safely ignore the average post Hagberg album Time Mirror) are absolutely brilliant. Par Lindh is still occasionally dabbling in the prog but mostly nowadays he makes a living from being a classical organist of the pipe variety.

Le Orme over Nexus although I could have reversed that. Very close.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Transatlantic. The Le Orme and Nexus albums are good too. With 3 1/2 hours of daylight left, I dusted the yard using paper towels.
