barely re-entered thru the chimney after being kicked out the door, and you're already a nuisance, Svettie given how wide the answers have been (certainly don't see The Who as Hard Rock), Heart was considered by a lot as a Zep copycat by some. Good enough for me.

If much of 1970s' Heavy Metal has turned into Hard Rock, then I can understand that there's not much Hard Rock in The Who, but then, I still don't really get it with Heart. |

Well, the imagery of Heart is not very macho, they're still hard enough for me. Take a look at one of their concerts on YT to get a load of it. Where I do have a (slight) problem, it's considering TYA as hard rock, despite loving everything from Undead until RnR Music TTW

Leppard aren't metal. Sabbath pops up a lot in the thread. Motorhead are "rock and roll"! |

Okay, I'll call it rather folkish Hard Rock. Like, I'll also call Manfred Mann's Solar Fire and Captain Beyond for progressive Hard Rock.
