Just for (my) fun, which 3 of these albums do you like most? I don’t know all the albums in the current PA all-time top 100, but of those I do know, these would be my top 10.

Definitely Dark Side of the Moon has been the most important of these album to me. Next would be Selling England by the Pound, then Ommadawn, then Thick as a Brick, then Foxtrot or A Trick of the Tail. The magic of Dream Theater, IQ and Marillion has largely escaped me, although I am open to what you think are their most beautiful songs.

Amazingly, we chose the same three albums in the same order out of ten possible choices. What are the odds on that, given how diverse our musical tastes are. Smile

I've gone for TaaB, SEbtP & DSotM

the only album on this list I'm not fussed about is the Marillion tbh

pleasantly surprised to see no Ayreon, however!
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

It’s verging on criminal that The Human Equation is not in the top 100……

Doesn't really surprise me in this case. We have major overlaps in tastes and interest despite our big differences in me being very into music you actively dislike and you being very into music that I dislike. You're much friendlier to certain kind of melodic rock and melodic metal than I am (AOR, Neo-Prog atc.), and I'm much friendlier to a lot of experimental, dissonant, atmospheric and melancholic music than you. I think we like much more of the same music than myself and the topic starter do.
